| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The basic directions of activity of JSC Kherson Shipyard are shipbuilding, updating and repair of vessels. Our production facilities provide for the construction of tankers, dry-cargo vessels, container-carriers, ice breakers, Arctic supply vessels, drilling vessels and various multi-purpose vessels.
The company performs the works as follows: | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Hull Assembling and Metal Processing Facilities - performs works on pre-processing of rolled metal (straightening, shot-blasting, priming) cutting and bending of details; performs staightening, shot-blasting of rolled metal plates 3 to 50 mm thick, maximum size 3200x16000 mm on plasma and gas cutting machines. Bending equipment provides for bending of details of 1 to 50mm thick plates of all types and shapes, including shaped bends by profile gauge and frame work, bottom stamping of 6 to 10 mm thick plates, with diameter 350mm to 800mm as well as bending materials of rolled profiles. The assembling-and-welding production deals with assembly and welding of metal sections and units of all kinds (flat and volumetric); produces sections and units sizing 16m x 25,3m, weighing 85t to 180t, using 5 to 125t l.c. overhead cranes, semi-automatic and automatic welding equipment. The Shipyard's processed metal capacity in 2005 will be around 100 thousand tons.
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Building Berth Facilities - forms main body on two construction sites: Production Site No. 1 - units up to 2000 tons are formed in Large Unit Building to be further moved on to the building berth (two building berth lines, 300 m long each). It is possible to build vessels up to 180 m long, up to 25,5 m wide, with the launching weight up to 10 000 tons. Production Site No.2 - hull forming is carried out in a roofed building berth on two building berth lines. The length of each line is 240 m, the width is 36 m. It is possible to build vessels up to 140 m long and up to 32 m wide. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Shipyard implemented a unique technology of modernization and updating of river and sea vessels (enlargement of sides, raising of hatch coamings, refurbishment of hatch-covers, elongation of hulls) which provides for Customers to increase deadweight and scope of transported goods.
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Mechanical-and-Mounting Facilities - assemble units, mount main and auxiliary mechanisms, gears, shaftlines, final mounting with tests of pipelines; render services on repair, diagnostics/repair of equipment, main engine, repair/adjustment of ship manoeuvring and control systems. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Pipe Mounting Facility - produces pipeline systems and further mounts them on ships. The production capacity is about 5 000 tons of pipes per year enabling to perform the following kind of works: production of straight steel pipes, pipes of copper and nickel alloys, M3P (copper) and stainless steels up to 12 m long, dia. 32 to dia. 219 mm, dia. 219 to dia. 450 mm. Production of bent steel pipes, pipes of copper and nickel alloys, M3P and stainless steel up to 12 m long, dia. 32 to dia. 219 mm, dia. 219 to dia. 450 mm. Production of straight and bent pipes with branches up to 12 m long pipes, dia. 32 to dia. 219 mm, dia. 219 to dia. 450 mm (pipes of copper and nickel alloys, M3P and stainless steel). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Outfitting Facilities - performs outfitting works (mounting of batten ceilings, forming of spaces in modular system, before and after insulation fittings, fixture of deck fittings, equipment, furniture, sparring securing items, rigging). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Painting-and-Outfitting Facilities - perform painting and outfitting works on vessels (mounting of modular sheathing, insulation, production and mounting of furniture, paintwork coating, laying of linoleum) as well as shot-blasting, shot-blasting of welds and surfaces for coating. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Machine-Building Part Facilities - include assembling welding, flame cutting, stamping, painting and complete mechanical processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals (turning, gouging, merry-go-round processing, DC machining), heat treatment of details. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Rigging and Plastic Facilities - produce any moulds and rigging to produce plastic articles. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Port Facilities - round the clock operations on transfer of various types of cargoes, including oversized cargoes, arriving by waterway, railway and road transport. 365m long jetty is provided with two gantry cranes, 100/16t l.c. each and 10 t l.c. crane. It provides for servicing maximum 200 m long vessels with a draft of 7.4m. The adjacent railways provide for accommodation of 100 railway carriages. The jetty is equipped with open storage yard of 19000 sq.m., roofed storehouses with the area of 1700 sq.m.
